Hi! I’m Dr. Jessica Knape.
I’m Dr. Jessica Knape, the Founder of HealthSpan Internal Medicine. I’m a double board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Integrative & Holistic Medicine with more than 20 years of experience caring for adults across the full spectrum of health — from hospital and clinic to assisted living, memory care, and home-based medicine.
Throughout my career, I’ve witnessed thousands of healing journeys. I’ve helped patients recover from serious illness, reverse chronic disease, and reclaim their vitality. I’ve also had the privilege of walking beside many at the end of life — experiences that have shaped my belief that medicine should not only extend lifespan but healthspan: the years of life lived in strength, clarity, and joy.
That philosophy is the foundation of HealthSpan Internal Medicine, my Boulder-based medical practice dedicated to precision, prevention, and personalized care. My mission is to help each patient thrive — physically, cognitively, and emotionally — through a thoughtful integration of internal medicine, functional medicine, genomics, and lifestyle optimization.
After decades caring for patients and loved ones with dementia and cognitive decline, I became deeply committed to helping others protect and restore their brain health. That passion led to the creation of the BrainSpan Program, an advanced framework built on the Bredesen ReCODE 2.0 model.
I live and practice in beautiful Boulder, Colorado, where I share life with my husband Carlos, our three children, and two dogs. I’m a dedicated yoga practitioner, lifelong learner, and seeker of truth — passionate about helping others build lives rich in energy, balance, and meaning.
Let’s talk about how we can expand your HealthSpan and BrainSpan — and help you live not just longer, but better.
